Hextech Chest and Key disppeared when I tried to open them and they gave me nothing

I did particularly well with this match as and got an S for how well I played. I, in turn, got a chest from this and proceeded to open it in the hextech crafting menu. When I tried to open it, both the hextech chest and key disappeared without giving me any loot. I am wondering whether I would be able to get my key and chest back since I didn't get any loot from it at all. I opened up a bug splat to report the BUG but I'm not sure that's a way for riot to look into getting me back the key and chest I lost. The match in question happened on 6/21/2018 and I proceeded to open it around the same time the match ended. Appreciate the thought if you guys could do anything!
