Black Screen when game is loading

I was teaching my friend how to play, so I entered a bot game with him. When it got into the game window thing it was all black. He said he was in but I was still staring at a black screen. I've tried entering about 5 practice games, with no luck. The link is something i found while looking for a solution but when i went to game.cfg all it said was Cfg=(Numbers I don't remember). so if you also have this problem check that out first. Does anyone have another solution to this problem?
