Back for the first time in ... 4 years?

So, I just logged back in for the first time in four years and now my name is showing up as a weird string of letters.. how do I fix that? was it offensive, did I stay away too long?

They have reset unused names on a few occasions. You probably got hit by one of those waves because you were inactive. You might see if you can do a free name change? I know that's a thing, but I don't know if it will apply to you.
Maybe send in a ticket to get your answer if a Riot employee doesnt answer here.
After 4 years it for sure is too long. Someone likely has your old name due to your inactivity and someone chose it.
