This has happened upwards of 10 times, AND during my RANKED queue's I lose LP and get a queue penalty for no reason, RIOT, answer me on this, I can't play your game when this happens and am getting penalized for no reason.

No it's actually exclusive to the internet provider's side.

Can't say I know a single person who's had a factory defect like that, must just be really unlucky.
DrCyanide1 votesIt's some driver issue. I was able to physically swap the cards (they're USB cards for desktops) and still have issues off and on. The person who was fine at that point had an update later and started having the same issues I was having.
Now I'm on a wired connection, so I won't have to deal with that for a long time to come.

Kukan Seishin1 votesI have checked my connection during this, when it happens, and nothing is wrong with it, I'm a reasonably techy guy, there has been almost nothing wrong with my wifi when this happens form what I can see, regardless its bs when I lose lp and get penalized for this..

every one gets punished if they afk

Kukan Seishin1 votesOr maybe, just maybe, It's not on my end, I checked everything I can, and nothing has helped, reinstalling client, replacing my wifi with a different router, using the lan, ethernet, checking my performance during lag, and during these and other champ selects, go ahead, tell me to fix my shit again.

Kukan Seishin1 votesI've already checked performance, and I've had my internet checked recently to no avail, there is NO CHANGE in my wifi and performance while this happens. Wanna say again? I know what I am talking about, I've done shit like this before and my wifi has nothing to do with it, also, the pattern is this, I get into champ select, either the second ban, or the first pick, it freezes BUT the CHAT still works... if my wifi dropped It wouldn't almost consistantly everytime this happens, I want riot to at least respond to tell me if they are having this problem with other people as well, if not, fine, I'll check my internet again, else, I've done all I can

it can be all kinds of issues so dont just blame riot for something it seems isnt a issue that is flooding the boards like most server outages
it can be all kinds of things .... maybe someone else is streaming and hogging the bandwith while you are trying to play... usually that is worst right when the stream starts but mellows after it gets rolling

they dont control the connection between your laptop and their servers there are alot that is at play

HOW THE FUCK, would I be able to even play the game at ALL if the servers didn't connect... seriously, what the hell? Here, think of it this way, my laptop, my internet provider, connecting to riots servers via the internet... okay? Now, picture this, if I am fine, and my internet provider is fine... then... where is the blame to be put? the connection between riots servers and my internet provider, but if there is nothing wrong with my internet provider... then, who is to put the blame?
oSEXYPLATYPUSo1 votesyour isp has to cross your connection over a long physical distance over many miles and other networks and servers to get to the riot server... you are not hardwired from your computer to riots server
anything along that chain can cause an issue....
packet loss any where will cause a slow connection intermittent connection etc

Kukan Seishin1 votesSo what is with the pattern? Always JUST during champ select, never anywhere else? That makes no sense, and its not a slow connection its a complete drop, like, COMPLETE drop. Which would make no sense, I don't get low ping in game... I get 25 actually, but in champ select I get a complete connection drop? Where is the logic in that?

maybe the part of the data being lost is the part obtaining during the champ select
there are alot of things that can cause connection issues

Kukan Seishin1 votesNo, I use a mac, and I am very careful, nothing wrong with it, (yes I use a mac fight me) I've reinstalled the league client, and have updated my laptop changing nothing about the league client, and when this happened I downgraded, and nothing changed
Swiftstrike41 votesCall your ISP. Don't connect wirelessly. Also if you didn't read the news there was massive internet outages on friday. I don't know when this occurred but it could be related.

oSEXYPLATYPUSo1 votesI HAD INTERMITTENT CONNECTION ISSUES WITH MY ISP FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS (TIME WARNER CABLE) I HAD THEM REPLACED THE LINE RUNNING FROM THE DROP OUTSIDE ACROSS THE UTILITY POLE TO THE HOUSE AROUND THE HOUSE THE LINE INTO THE HOUSE AND 8 MODEMS. IT CAN BE THE ISP WITH THEIR INFRASTRUCTURE
YOU COULD HAVE FIRE WALLS MESSING WITH YOUR APPLICATIONS AND PROGRAMS THEY ARE BAD FOR THAT AS WELL
AND MACS GET VIRUSES TOO
THERE ARE LOTS AND LOTS OF ISSUES THAT CAN CAUSE IT...
