I started a normals game and me and my teammate were frozen in the champion select screen so I thought I could just get into the game by closing client and re-opening it. When I log back in it puts me at the reconnect screen to a game in progress and won't let me connect.
I finished a game but couldnt get post-game stats. so I skipped to main menu and logged off, logged back on and now it says i need to reconnect due a game in session and when I do to see what is going on, it says theres an issue with the firewall. I clicked retry, but that does nothing. When i pressed cancel, it says the game crashed. WHAT GAME? I NEVER JOINED ONE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!
Update - managed to get back in menu, all queue's were down so i figured hey lets play a custom to pass the time. Found a game and got in to champ select and now stuck for all of eternity. Logged out and back in to try and reconnect and now clicking reconnect does nothing. GET YOUR CRAP TOGETHER RIOT. How hard is it to ask for some consistency! 3rd time this has happened to me this week!
Update 2 - I have started installing World of Warcraft because of your ineptness.
same thing happened to me just now, have to quit, hopefully no penalty
bump. The game didn't start when it said it would and then it wouldn't reconnect.
I was stuck in champion select and just closed the client thinking I could reconnect through restarting
the same thing's happening over here.
I finished my game. I guess it lagged because the "Skip waiting for stats" button popped up. Skipped waiting and and received the reconnect button loop.
Please be patient. Riot is having connectivity issues. They are aware of the issue and are working diligently to figure out what is causing this issue.

Same. I'm stuck in the reconnect screen and not even relogging solves the problem.
yes I am stuck as well.... shamp select didn't work then I exited and now im stuck at restar screen... -_- 
Same thing happened to me.. Finished a ranked 5's as braum, won.. got error at game finish so i skipped stats.. relogged and now it says to reconnect to game, try then get a firewall error.. There needs to be compensation for this crap.. i understand you are having issues, but compensation is a must for rankes queues im sorry..
