[Client] Joining champion select late with incorrect champion select timer
To those it may concern:
Recently (approximately 00:15 EDT, 14/05/2015, I would say) I attempted to queue up (blind pick) and "joined" a game... except that I was stuck on the main League client (home) page after clicking the little "accept" button for the match. I thought that maybe it had been disbanded and I just didn't get a notification, so I tried to queue up for Team Builder. I was given the warning that I was "[c]urrently assigned to an existing game."
After about 10 seconds or so, I was tossed into champion select where others of my team had likely been waiting with their champions selected -- except I had not disconnected the entire time as far as I knew. Additionally I saw the FULL time allowed for champion select given to me (i.e. that 90-ish seconds; I only remember looking up at it when it hit 82). I've had disconnects or chat lag related to joining champion select before and that never happens - typically the timer shows what everyone else would see too. I figured that maybe the champion select had started late but while I was communicating with my team to figure out what happened, the game was disbanded because I did not select a champion.
My main concerns here: (1) The (likely non-disconnect related) delay from hitting accept for the match into champion select and the fact I was able to **interact with the client further **(such as attempting to join a different queue). (2) The incorrect timer once I'd gotten into champion select. If I had known the timer was so low, I'd have picked a champ I'm good with and asked the team where to go in game instead of trying to do that within the whittling time of champion select.
Because it was a strange situation, I did not get any screen caps, etc. I am afraid to try and replicate this issue because I do not want to be considered a leaver or queue dodger when I am not trying anything of the sort. If anyone (including players) has a thought on what happened, I would appreciate it.
