Unfair Loss Of LP!

While i was in champ select the game completely froze on me while my ADC was picking and the game wouldn't let me pick my champion therefore resulting in me losing LP for something that was completely out of my control, and no before you accuse me for saying it was my laptop, it wasn't as it then continued to say and error occurred and then it said i dodged the game? How is that my fault and why should i lose LP for something not my fault Riot?
