hey, i got an S with janna yesterday while i was in a party with my friend. i got my chest but apparently he wasnt awarded his. has there been any changes to the system? cause last time we got an S we both got the chests.

Remember there is a limit, so it might have surpass his limit of getting rewarded a free chest. If he goes on his profile it should tell him how much longer he has till he can get a chest again!
Maybe your friend already got a chest with that specific champ so he can't get another 1 playing that champ the rest of the season
Maybe he didn't have any other chests left? You do have an indicator on when you can receive a chest on your profile in the client.
