I've been trying to start a game since last patch and I get to champ select but when it comes time to loading screen it just gives me a reconnect button. When I click it the client "closes or minimizes" not sure and pops up again with Reconnect button. Now I'm gonna get banned for afk behavior. wtf.... Help!!
I had the same issue, and found out it was my firewall blocking the game.
Hey, I am having the same issue! What version of Windows are you running by the way? I've tried following all of the instructions in the FAQ as well as repatching and none of that has worked thus far. [sg-lux-2]
Same issue in ranked TFT... lost 2 games because of that :) Running on recently clean installed Windows 7...

If any one here is using "bitdefender" antivirus you need to go into the "Advanced Treat Defense" and mark all of the League programs to make them exempt
I had the same issue and just resolved it.
My antivirus software kept deleting a file that it thought was malicious called "stub.dll" every time I opened league.
I had to exclude that file from my anti-virus software.
I would recommend making an exclusion for the entire "Game" folder in "Riot Games\League of Legends\Game" on your anti-virus software.
Worked for me, hope it works for you too :)
