Thresh bug?

Silence: A unit that is silenced cannot cast abilities or activate items for the duration. I was in aram as thresh. I thew my hook (q) mid animation (before it hooked) I was silenced. My q ability went on cooldown immediately and the hook landed and hit a target. They where stunned from the hook but never pulled at all and i was also unable to use it to go to them (silence probably). I hope i'm making sense.

1. Throws hook
2. Mid animation (before hook lands) get's silenced
3. Q on cooldown
4. Hook lands (could hear it as well) but it does not complete the animation.
5. I could not activate my q when i landed the hook either

I hope i am being clear i am kinda tired from camping.
