Can't use abilities, shop, scoreboard.

Hello, Recently I noticed since the patch 5.5 came out, I've been experiencing a bug where I can't use any of my abilities. I can't open the shop menu and I can't pull up the scoreboard. The only way I can fix this is exiting the game and reconnecting. By doing this I lose so much time and I get so far behind. Even though I can't use any of my abilities, I can move around, but when I do move around the map, it displays the moving arrows in orange and not the usual blue. And when I do get close to enemies, my champion moves by itself and goes toward the enemy like it wants to auto attack them. This doesn't happen in every game, rather it is random, but when it does happens, the bug starts to appear during the late game. I have to exit the game and reconnect and by doing that my team gets mad at me because they might throw the game and lose a team fight and I tried telling them that I can't use any of my abilities or even buy any items. The only thing I can do is just move around. I really hope Riot can resolve this issue because I have never had an issue like this before and it is affecting my gameplay. By the way I am playing League of Legends on Mac.

I have experienced this issue as well both in a dominion and a team builder game tonight. The only solution (to be able to use my keyboard again) was to forcequit the client, relog, and reload back in the game. Kindof detrimental since it happened endgame in both cases. I also noticed that it happened after I respawned. I'd try to buy something...be unable to open shop, and then be unable to move my champ, use abilities, move camera, or do anything which requires the keyboard inputs. This includes escape to quit the game (had to forcequit it). I am also on a mac for clarification.

This has happened to me 4 times in the last 2 days, the first 2 were normal games, and I thought it was finally gone but then it happened in a ranked the next day. I went on playing normals no problem, played another ranked and it was fine. Then decided why not play one more ranked, and it happened again. I also play on Mac. If anyone has any long term solutions it would be very much appreciated.

I just discovered this problem last night in a custom with friends. I'm not sure why this is happening, but my only theory was that maybe it was because I have an external display connected. Then I discovered this thread. I don't know what is going on, we need Rito to fix this cause this is not enjoyable. I also noticed after the 5.5 patch that when I turned off vSync for moar FPS, I could only see a few items and spells in the scoreboard; the majority of the items were gone.If this goes on I may consider going back to PC.

The same thing has been happening to me for the last couple of weeks, but I still seem to be able to use my abilities unless I press every single button on my keyboard trying to fix the original bug. Everything else you mentioned is the same thing that happens to me. It is random and happens near the middle of the game, sort of. I can't seem to fix it unless I leave and reconnect, but I don't want to do that or my team will get angry and we might lose the game. I think this issue might be surrounding the type of computer we use, I use a mac mini. I think that Riot's priorities are more towards windows and less towards mac and thus might be the source of the problem.

Hi I play on a macbook as well, and I am having the exact same issues. This bug is costing me games. I've been trying to figure out why it's been happening but only seems to be happening with champs that rely on spells. The bug doesn't appear as often when I play Marksman, but definitely on spell casters.

I am playing game after game and this glitch happens in every single one of them!! Its a Mac ONLY ISSUE! RIOT PLEASE FIX THIS.

Im scared to play ranked games because every time i DO i need to disconnect and reconnect which wastes 3 to 4 minutes of vital gameplay!

PLEASE RIOT. IF YOU SERIOUSLY CARE ABOUT YOUR COMMUNITY. FIX. THIS.

I also have this problem except I can use any ability that isn't a skill shot for example sivirs Q won't work but her W will I'm on a Asus laptop btw.
