Master Yi Q bug + general complaint

Recently after a ranked match I reviewed a replay to focus on a Q Master Yi was able to execute after being rooted. I'm sure I won't have to explain why rooting matters here, but I'll share the events.

Team fight ensued where the opponent Master Yi activated a placed explosive from Jihn's E. Once enough distance was gained I executed a W to root him. It went through but after rooting he was still able to Q and kill me. Disregarding the match as a whole as it was a lost cause, the issue I'm focused on is Master Yi being able to Q after being clearly rooted. This should not be what should have happened under any means.

I've attached a short clip showing what happened, my pausing abilities aren't great but you can clearly see when the root was in place on Yi.

Furthermore, regarding other Champion interacting with his Q there are 2 more that need attention.

Karma and Leblanc's tether are treated differently by Yi's Q. Karma can cast her tether to root Yi, but mid Q he can cancel the tether as well as force it to be recast sometimes without cooldown, but sometimes with cooldown as well as other times still rooting him once he exits his Q. Leblanc is in a different spot. It will not need to be recast at all and will still root him upon exiting as wherever he began his Q is where the game registers Leblanc's tether (meaning Yi's placement is irrelevant unlike Karma's where it tracks Yi).

So the same skill (tether) to root on 2 champions are treated very differently as well as can cause inconsistency in how Yi's Q responds to being rooted. This has occurred many times consistently when there should be no difference in how it's handled in-game. On top of this, because Jhin's root can be in effect but there's still a very short window where he can execute a Q when rooted which should not be present it can have devastating effects in game.

And on top of this, if Yi were to Q 1 minion to death, but another player killed that minion, the Q is cancelled abruptly and that's the end of it. With this in mind the roots with tethers should stop him on the spot whether in Q or not if it's been cast because it's clear that the skill can be cancelled. I know there are plenty of other champions with roots that Yi can disregard and treat differently but I haven't located them all. Projectiles being cancelled is fine, but rooting and these inconsistencies need attention.

In short - Yi's Q is a mess when it comes to rooting and how different champions can have their roots completely disregarded due to inconsistencies. Roots should be rooting him mid Q if tethered as well due to his Q being able to be cancelled.

Fix these inconsistencies in Yi because it's clear that players are able to have an advantage when playing as him.

You can cast abilities when you are rooted, so there't no bug involved with that. http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Crowd_control
