[CLIENT] 6.20 & 6.21 - Client Won't Launch Properly

Hello, I'm having an issue with my League of Legends Client not launching. I've fixed it temporarily multiple times already over the the past month or so, and I was wondering if there is a way to work around this, other than all of the methods I have mentioned below. I have been searching for a fix for over a month now, as repatching is not something that one would like to have to do on a daily basis. The solutions that I have tried are:

  1. Using the Hextech Repair Tool to:
  • Force Repatch
  • Reinstallation (With & Without a Clean Uninstall)
  • Both of these only temporarily work, but I have to run the Hextech Repair Tool every single time I want to launch the game.
  1. Resetting winsock VIA Command Line
  2. Checking that my Refresh Rate was set to 60hz
  3. Uninstalling AVG Antivirus
  4. Repairing the client using the Repair option on the Help Menu
  5. Restarting my computer prior to launching the client
  • I either have to do this, or run the Hextech Repair Tool in order to Launch the client successfully.
  1. Deleting the following files from:

C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client\releases\0.0.1.228:

  • releasemanifest
  • S_OK

C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client\releases\0.0.1.228\deploy:

  • lib (folder)
  • META-INF (folder)
  • mod (folder)
  • locale.properties
  • LolClient.exe
  • LolClient.swf

None of these solutions have worked for me, or they've only temporarily worked, so far. The LolClient.exe process gets stuck at just under 3000KB memory usage every single time I try to Launch the client, prior to using one of the temporary solutions I've been using for the past month or so. I've also checked to make sure that all my drivers are up to date, and working properly with other games. Also to note is the fact that prior to Patch 6.20, the League of Legends client was still working perfectly fine, and without any issues, with my laptop. If there's anything else that you need, please let me know. Thanks!

Hi ! Exactly the same issue here. I tried all the solutions told up. Process stay around 3kb, nothing pop up. Weird point, I have a 660 too but for home computer. It's been 7 years I play LoL, always managed to figure things out when a problem comes up, but I really struggle with this one.

I'm having the same problem. Gottten it to launch a handful of times, but have struggled with it for the past few days. Very inconsistent

I'm having the same problem too and I have been fortunate enough to have avoided problems with league for years. I used every tip they have for trouble shooting here: https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/articles/202969434-Patching-Issues#section-windows

Still having issues and have done a complete reinstall just to be able to log in one time. Tried different video drivers etc etc. At this point league is the only thing that is having issues so I just have to accept the fact that the problem is on their side and they need to role out a fix for it. What worries me is that you can see traces of this problem being around for a couple of years with the exact same fixes, which means they haven't solved the problem 100%.

I will bookmark this in case there is an update or a post from a dev.

Since the last patch I've had the same problem. Restart PC attempt to open, it launches just fine 1/2 the time and the other times even after trying all the help tips I still find myself just mindlessly trying to relaunch the client until it decides to work after 20+ attempts.

Ah, okay, thanks everyone for the replies! The most recent patch appears to have fixed this issue for me as well!
