No decay notification?

Yesterday as you all know was the last day to gain rank before the season award distribution. Oddly enough I didn't receive a notification that I was decaying, so I decayed from plat V 18lp to gold 1 85 lp yesterday right before the season end. There was no way for me to climb back as I had to head out for work when I realized I've dropped. Is there any way we could make sure the notification pops out and stands out longer and is more noticeable somewhere on our profile that we're decaying? -Signed A very disappointed summoner.
