Weird matchmaking

Since all queues went down not too long ago, I feel like I'm getting matched randomly. Last game, My team was made of 1 bronze, 2 silvers, 1 gold and 1 plat vs a team with 4 golds and 1 unranked. Is it because it's team builder or is matchmaking bugged?
