The last 2 Basic Champion Capsules from leveling up (level 16 and level 17 level ups) did not yield any skin shards. I did get some Blue Essence. But as it is called a Champion Capsule, there should probably be at least 1 Champion shard. ;)
I forgot to screenshot the occurrences so I can't really prove it. Hopefully this won't happen again, but if it does I will try to remember to screenshot it.
Edit: I meant "champion shard" not "skin shard." Oops.
ModWulf Helhammer2 votesFirst: Leveling capsules, aside from one special one at level 9, do not give skin shards. Those are only obtained via Hextech Chests.
