Sometimes the tribute ability for the spell thief's edge doesn't work. I clearly hit somebody with a spell and yet it doesn't give me any gold for it even when it has full stack. Anybody else have this issue? I've noticed this problem most on Sona when using her Q.
you know it is deactivated for 12? secs if you kill a minion?
Those auto-homing 
Q's can hit more than just champions. The occasional incidental CS while your poking is known to happen when you can only hit one of your two lane opponents. If you end up last hitting a minion with a stray Q bolt the bonus damage and bonus gold charges cannot be used until the penalty timer is up.
