So I was just playing my normal Xerath OP madness and my team and I were trying to defend base and my Q stopped working. I was able to type "My Q won't cast" in chat so it wasn't my keyboard, and all of my other abilities were working fine. I picked up a blue buff shortly before so maybe that had something to do with it? IDK. Anyone have any similar experiences?
This happens to me with Vi and charging her q. When an ability that requires charging like those two gets interrupted it can't be cast and you have to leave the game and reconnect to fix it
You can also try changing the key to smart cast and back, sometimes that fixes it. I've also heard that if you alt-tab out of the game it may think you're still in the other window for some reason when you come back and pressing alt again will fix it. I usually end up having to play around with the smart cast settings or reconnecting though.
This is still happening. For like half a year or more. About 1/3 games with Xerath. Q stops working about half way in, kinda random but I am sure there is some trigger I am missing.. Restarting client only thing that makes it work for me again, however discussing it someone said to try putting it on quick cast and back. Haven't tried that yet.
