Varus's Q stops working

During a few games I've noticed that Varus's Q will stop working. It seems to happen if you hit Q then recall. After that for the rest of the match your Q will not work. I have read some others reports on Varus's Q and it seems that it can also happen a few other ways. Either way hopefully Riot will fix this because it has been like this for a few patches now.
