[GAMEPLAY] Black Market Brawlers; sated devourer and typhoon claws complications
Sated devourer turns off the typhoon claws stacking and rapid attack function. If you purchase typhoon claws, they will work normally with devourer as it is building stacks, adding the magic damage on hit to each of the 3 quick strikes. But once devourer becomes sated, the typhoon claws no longer stacks up to 3(or at all) or commence the 3 fast attacks.
I can see this being crazily over powered, so i can understand if it is working as intended that way, but it would be nice to have a tooltip letting the player know that they do not interact, so they don't get all the way down the sated path to be severely disappointed like I was.
-
start game
-
purchase typhoon claws, or devourer. (I have tested the order of purchase and it occurs either way.)
-
see that typhoon claws and devourer interact normally
-
build up to sated devourer
-
see that typhoon claws no longer stack, or proc
Also, while we are on the subject of sated devourer, I have noticed that sated devourer does not interact with as many on hit effects as i had hoped or was led to believe. Activatable on hit effects (though I'm not sure it's limited to activatables) like volibear's thunder claws for example, when used with a sated devourer does not bounce to 4 targets for the secondary proc from the sated devourer. You will still see an extra proc of damage on the initial target, but the bounce will be singular. The wording of Volibear's ultimate, "Volibear channels the storm, causing all basic attacks for 12 seconds to deal X (+Y) magic damage, which chains to 4 nearby enemies" would lead you to believe that with a sated devourer, the extra proc would bounce as well. This is not the case, however.
-
choose volibear
-
get devourer
-
get volibear ult
-
get sated devourer
-
activate Thunder Claws and attack a group of minions and see that the primary target receives the extra magic damage but the bounce does not follow. (you can see how chain target minion health drops the same with or without sated)
Thunder claws does interact normally with typhoon claws quick attacks. You will see the bounce 3 times in that rapid succession.
There is also the possibility of sated devourer not working with Irelia's hiten style as well. I remember it not feeling like it was proccing the extra true damage on hit when I played her(did not see enough white numbers (Irelia's hiten style DOES work with typhoon claws adding true damage to each of the 3 quick attacks)). I have not done a thorough test of her yet, It was in an normal game so I didn't have time to really examine.
The bugs stated above were tested in a custom game.
