[MAC] The Yosemite Crashes the game

I updated the new Mac OS X Yosemite last night right after a game. And when I tried to play a game today under the new OS system, it crashed at my first attempt to open the apps. Then I reopened it and it did work to go to the log in page, but showed fail to connect after i pressed log in. The second attempt seems good but another issue came out when I was going to the game. It couldn't load the game and stuck at loading page forever.

Would like to know is this only happening to me or someone else is having the same issue. My mac is last 2011 one and it works great before the system upgraded.

I am having the same issues. Updated to OSX Yosemite and now anytime I play my game freezes mid game and I can't even force quit. My mouse moves but none of my keyboard short cuts work. So I have to turn off my computer. Anyone have any ideas?

I have an issue that I cannot even open the client on my mid 2009 MBP but everything is fine with my 2010 iMac. The difference between how I install the new os is just only updated the os on my iMac but I did a clean reinstall on my MBP. After I finished the installation I can smoothly run games on my iMac but after I downloaded and open the client on my OS reinstalled MBP, it just keep crashing and pops out a window which said, "LoL Patcher quit unexpectedly." I almost tried everything, I tried reinstall the os again, changing permissions and stuff and even copied the whole game file from my iMac (which runs perfectly). Yet all the method I tried were failed.

I am so desperate now because sadly my iMac is an office computer which I cannot always play with and my ranked team cannot play with me anymore because my failed MBP and will definitely lose a chance to win the ward skin price.

I've been searching on the web about the issue that I've been encountering and I found my issue is so rare that no one just keep crashing on the patcher and at least they can start the game. But of cause no one deserves to have such problem as I do but I do hope riot would notice this and address the issue and find a solution.

And if someone is having the same issue as I have, you are not alone.

And sorry for my bad english. I am not a native english speaker.

Riot...any word on this or what? Yesterday when I made this thread there were only 2 of us complaining...now they are all over the boards.

I can open the client and enter a game, but at the middle of it, it freezes, but can still move mouse and hear the game. The only way to get out is to close my Mac and restart it.

It's not Yosemite, necessarily. I've been on Yosemite for a while now with League running fineish. Preferences (keybindings and the like) don't save but otherwise it works.

I have a macbook pro retina, and it doesn't crash but my mouse bumps up like 1/4 of the screen when I drag my mouse to the bottom really annoying.

Runs perfectly fine on my machine. I actually saw a 20fps increase while streaming. Double FPS when not streaming. Early 2011 MBP (i7 2.3 / 8GB / HD6750m / 256 SSD)

I HAVE THE EXSACT SAME PROBLEM! I have been playing league for 2 years on this mac, and this has never happened before! all of a sudden, in game, the game will freeze. None of the hotkeys work, i can hear the game music, mouse moves, but every time this happens, i need to restart my mac and reconnect which takes time and sometimes the game ends so now I am on a ban because of "afk". RIOT PLEASE FIX THIS. PLEASE.

i just tried instaling league on my macbook pro 15 inch mid 2012 twice and the whole system crashed each time :( want to play on my macbook not just my od desktop

You are not alone, when I first got Yosemite, my game started crashing unexpectedly and repeatedly in games and in the login screen, Riot needs to fix this.

I just posted a thread of this very same issue. Didnt see yours until after I posted...but yes I am having the same issues with Yosemite. The game is constantly crashing now, primarily in the "attempting to reconnect form", however my roommate using the same internet is playing just fine (hasnt upgraded his comp to Yosemite yet). The game will never reconnect and I will have to force quit, and then I get the bug splat error log. Very frustrating.

I can get into game and play for a couple minutes with around 60 fps, but randomly it will crash and freeze but i can hear the music and move my mouse but it wont unfreeze. i have to restart my whole computer to get back in and have the same thing happen. And then rito gave me low priority q for 20 min because of this.

I have a friend that instead of it disconnecting him, it makes his mouse go haywire.

The problem comes even worse now that I cannot update the game or reinstall it, since every time I tried to do so, it crash.
