[Client] Champion Selection not working??

I have been trying to get into a game for several hours now and every time i get accepted into a game i can not select a champion. My LOLclient just has a black screen and does not load the champion selection screen. Is there some reason for this? it has been happening all day today and i would like to know what is wrong. I can log in no problem, and queue without any glitches. i can not even create a custom game where it allows me to select my champion.
