League of Legends - Friend's list bug

Two different things happen. 1: When I come out of game my friend's list is jumbled together if someone logs out. 2: When a person logs out he stays exactly where he was in the friend's list instead of plunging into the depths of offline players at the bottom of the list, but doesn't get jumbled with other people's names.

The weird solution I found was after messing with the friend's list settings, it as "sort by name" then going back to "sort by status". That fixes the problem.
