BUG? Soft-Lock Game

PATCH 8.21

I was playing a ranked game and typed in the chat this symbol '~'.

After trying to press Enter, the game became unresponsive to any input. I had to Ctrl+Alt+Delete my way out of this.

Even then, when I re-entered the game, I still couldn't do anything.

I lost the game and even got de-ranked which was a shame (I mean I was doing pretty bad anyway but still, I couldn't even attempt to make a comeback)

I tried this again in a private match and yeah: same result.

Step 2: When in game type this symbol in chat '~'

Step 3. Press 'Enter' and congratulations: You just soft-locked the game

[I didn't bother with taking screenshots or anything as it is just literally the game and the chat open with this symbol in it '~'.]

Has this always been the case? If so, I'll just avoid using that symbol in chat and if possible, close this discussion.

Or perhaps this is just something on my end. Please test this for yourself and let me know what happens.
