Bug with Sivir's spell shield and Kassadin's Q

I played a game yesterday with Sivir and I was trying to spell shield ezreal's Q and it killed me.. It was supposed to block the spell and give me mana for me to Q ezreal and kill him and I spell shield it plenty of times and got the same results that it doesn't block his Q. Another bug I saw was my friend picked Katarina against A Kassadin and everytime she ulted his q would stop her ult and he doesn't have silence anymore so I don't know why it stopped her channel everytime..
