[CRASH] Loading Into Game

Every time I go into a game and I try to load in, the loading screen crashes. It tells me to turn off my firewall when my firewall is turned off. I try to restart my laptop, and shutting down my laptop. It has worked sometimes, but it's not really effective. The crashes are also very inconsistent, and it has become very frustrating for me to play.

I'm not even concerned about my leaver level. I'm concerned about being a douchebag and leaving my team in a 4v5. I don't know them and I will probably never see them again, but still. It's shitty.

The complete lack of an official response or update to the situation since last Tuesday is unacceptable. Players are getting leaver bans and discipline for this problem on Riot's end?

F2P business model only works when customers have trust and this is ruining it.

Just had this crap happen for the 4th time in a row today alone, have had it occur another 3 times in the past week. Previously was eventually able to reconnect after many tries, but ever since they did "Live server maintenance" on Saturday night I've not been able to connect any time I've encountered this problem.

If I see another friggin' skin come out before this gets fixed, Riot will never see another dime from me.

UPDATE:

I finally heard back on the support ticket where I provided match history links to the four games this problem ruined for me, and they said "We can't do anything about your leaver status because the system is automated." Wow. This is a slap in the face. I've spent more than 200$ over the last 4 years supporting this game and purchasing content for it, and this is how you treat one of your longest-time paying customers? Any business operating this way deserves to fail. Now voting with my wallet. I will never purchase RP again until Riot publicly acknowledges these connectivity issues and issues leaver-buster pardons to myself and all other players affected. Until that happens, Riot has shown itself to be a company you CANNOT trust with your money or patronage.

The only problem is that all of the money I've already spent on your game feels like a huge waste, and I feel dumb for trusting this company and supporting this game. Punish me for your failure to render service? How incredibly obnoxious, and insulting.

Seriously RIOT, I'm having the same fucking issue. I was playing last night, less than 12 hours ago, made no changes to my computer, and when I tried to play this morning I get slamming with the endless firewall crap.

If i was playing a ranked match it would be worse, i lose the game, lose points in the ladder and get hit with a leaver and a time ban.

This happens way more often than you might think Riot, I've had several 4v5 matches, only to find out the 1 guy returns at the end of the game after having the same issue as us.

It is intermittent to me, I have noticed other people not connecting, usually i can reconnect after 1 try, but this time it is giving me the firewall error. I don't even use a firewall.

Welp time to go play other games i guess. This problem somehow managed to get worse for me over the past week so now I can't even play the game at all. I've tried every fix. Good thing I lost LP and got 2 leaves for this because somehow it's the player's fault that the client isn't functional after five seasons.

This is such BS. LoL has been bending me over in team select giving me Malz mid, Ashe ADC, Cho'Gath jungle (etc.) as well as feeders, ragers, and afker's. I'm practically the poster boy for staying in games and fighting for the win to the bitter end. I try to only say nice and constructive things to my team and focus on what I could do better to improve as a player since that is within my control. Despite all this though, I've recently been put on the leaver buster list because of game crashes.

I've been fighting against multiple team issues to stay in plat, but I hit a bad matchmaker spree combined with a few crashes after champ select which ultimately lost me plat. The game I got demoted in actually didn't let me play at all. I tried to reconnect for 30 minutes, but no luck; even after I disabled my firewall. I just feel so royally screwed right now, I understand bad players will be bad players and that it should work out in the distribution, but it's hard to improve my play when I can't connect to games reliably.

Please fix.

Happened to me too and i cant connect either after rebooting, even.

This is the worst crap i have seen ever with some of the worst support for such a popular game i just started playing and have experienced this 3 times in 2 weeks and getting sick of the leaverbuster and wish i could just call for phone support and get this solved i just would like to see the prob. fixed. If they cant fund support maybe the game shouldnt be free to play!!!!!!!! FIX THE ISSUE RIOT!!!!!

I am experiencing this as well when playing "Poro King" the error is:

Unable to connect to the server. If you have a firewall, it may be blocking th connection. Please refer to your firewalls documentation. Would you like to retry the connection?

Normally I was able to connect after 10+ tries but this time I can't get in at all. I do not have a firewall or virus scanner now. I do not have 3rd party anythings! I am directly connected into my modem. I've tried "run as administrator". I better not get "reported" and banned for this "AFK" caused by the client.

Well after sitting here for hours and hours waiting for the server to come back up, I was finally able to log on about an hour ago. When I try to load into the game, I get the firewall error as well, even after allowing League of Legends through firewall and even disabling firewall completely. I have been trying to play since 4 P.M and it is now 12:30 A.M. I cannot believe they are not only not fixing this issue, but have not provided updates about it. This is completely unacceptable as I have NEVER left a ranked game before and now I will surely get reported and most importantly my team will probably lose.

Yeah I just spent 15 minutes trying to get back into a ranked game after champ select. Loading screen then it froze at 99% so i exited out of the game relogged wouldnt do anything firewall bs came up restarted cpu rinse and repeat to no effect. This has been happening ever since the new patch from what I can tell. It's frustrating and it's clear that you guys at riot should maybe just take a page from BLIZZARD and do regular maintenence during non peak hours. That way you aren't screwing over millions of people that want to play competitive ranked games like I do. I understand AFK's rage quitters and dbag feeders play this game and nothing will ever change that because it's all about the dough rey me at this point for this company. I think when you lose sight of what it was like to be a player excited to play a new champ that comes out every month. WE enjoy this game but things need to be fixed. Priority should be that the gameis actually playable first of all. I get tired of trying to troubleshoot a game on my end that basically can't be fixed. You have to fix it and you make millions to do so. I've spent over 200 bucks on this game for skins and a lot of people are in the same boat. You owe it to us to get your $hit together Riot otherwise this is the only game you will push us away into other games like Heroes of The Storm or DOTA 2 or even something else. I'd love to keep playing this game but I'm also not going to relog 12 times, restart my CPU 1-3 times just to get another loss and penalized for an AFK/demotion. Please Riot don't push away a loyal League of Legends player.

This problem is seriously getting out of hand... the past two games, I'm unable to get into a game without having to deal with an annoying black screen that basically giving me the finger whenever I desperately try and find a way. Honestly Riot, me as well as a lot of other players are getting fed up with having this situation continue while we can do nothing but watch the "Leave" on our match histories accumulate. Supposed "solutions" that I tried online solved nothing and here I am, typing this as my League just refuses to escape the black screen. Most importantly, how will other players see us? Because of those "Leaves" on our records, we get seen differently and in a more negative manner. Additionally, that automated banning program that targets leavers and afks... is it going to sack us for "leaving" when in reality we're trapped in some stupid bug.

Riot, I really hope you are looking into this situation. Sometimes I enjoy these games, but now I and most definitely everybody else who's on this thread are seriously pissed off because of this. I want to enjoy Winter Break and Christmas with fun poro games instead of being here and typing this entire complaint of why the black screen is the worst thing I have encountered. So please fix this problem; it's wasting our time and it's giving a bad image of supposed "leavers" and the game itself.

Tl;dr: FIX THIS ABOMINATION SO IT CAN NO LONGER CLAIM ANY MORE VICTIMS.

I have been experiencing these connection issues for weeks. Now I have spent an HOUR trying to log in. Every time I wait 20 minutes to get through the queue, it fails and leaves me at the Position in queue: 1, Approximate wait time: 1 seconds. wtf is this?

Hey guys, Try launching lol.launcher.admin version. Worked for me. It might take away these firewall issues and dc errors. Just a thought.

Yea same problem, Sometimes I fixed it by turning off my firewall or even putting in back on. But mostly I can't even join back in. Nothing I can do :/

This is happening very often and don't think It's your fault. It's obviously riots fault. It worked fine for everyone now it's happening? Also do you think 6 users in the same game would all have the same fire wall problem? No. This is obviously riots fault. Time to go play other mobas till they fix it.

I didn't even have the problem till they took league down and said they were going to fix it. Soon as it came back up now I have the problem...

I will also not be playing ANY ranked games. Get your priorities in order before you alienate your entire audience...

Riot, we all understand that maintaining servers for the most popular and widely played game in the world can be quite an undertaking. We all recognize that servers go down and issues come up and that occasionally our individual gaming experience will be affected.

That being said, we'd like you to recognize that most of the time when a server issue disconnects us from a game, we are penalized. We lose LP and get tagged with leaver penalties when we didn't actually do anything. We wanted to connect to the game and help the other 4 players on our team have a great time playing an awesome game. But we couldn't. Because your server wouldn't let us connect. So please don't penalize us for something that isn't our fault.

Additionally, while this is a free to play game, I personally have decided to invest money in this game because I think it is fantastic and I want you guys to keep producing the best game I've ever played. But why should I keep giving you guys money if I don't ever see any results from my investment? I don't want new skins or new champs. I don't want a new LoL Patcher interface. I want a game that I can reliably connect to. I want a game where when the inevitable happens and the servers go down, I won't be penalized and dropped down the ladder.

If you can deliver that Riot, I'll keep spending money. If you think that catering to your supporters and fans who have invested in your game is a waste of your time, I'll take my money elsewhere.

I've only been playing the game for a little over a year now, and I have never, ever left a game. Sadly this issue happens and after 20 minutes of trying to reconnect, I find that my last game was marked with a "Leave" I have no idea what's happening, but It's really disappointing that I'm labeled as a leaver because of an issue Riot is having.

Having this same problem consistently while my friends in Skype play unhindered. I have reset literally every device that contributes to internet as well as disabled the firewall. It's honestly getting old, if the servers are having issues don't hide it, just say "Hey the servers are kinda janky right now, play at your own peril" that way I'm not sitting here for hours trying to figure out what's wrong only to come here and see that it's a real problem.

I cannot even play Co-Op vs Ai without crashing or getting disconnected, what is this? Not even EA servers are this crappy. What am I paying RP for? For getting this shitty service? Honestly this is getting ridiculous... Im sick of 4v5 games, I had at least 5 4v5 games today. I don't get wtf is going on with ppl and their fkn firewalls but this shit needs to get fixed already...

If your game is fkd up dont play a few days, stop ruining other people's games by making it 4v5... just wait for a fix. It's better for everyone.
