Lobby blacks out screen

I was in champ select, someone waited till the very last second to pick their champ the game lobby closed then came back on, and when it came to my turn to pick the screen blacked out. Not sure if this happened to the rest of the people in lobby, the game still says im in champ select and if i close i'll be penalized for dodge, the screen is completely blacked out, only thing i can click is my friends list and chat and the ! box.
