cant log in when im connected to hotspot of my other laptop

i use my mac to play league it works good all the time but when i connect to the hotspot of my other laptop i cant log in. It just says authenticating forever. My ping is at like 40 ms and does not lag at all when i watch youtube and stuffs tho.
