Being put on Queue Dodge penalties for following instructions.

So I was in a queue for a game with 2 of my other friends. All was well up until the countdown started after all champs have been selected and bans were in place. We all got sent back to the main menu with a pop up window insisting that we "restart our client". I was the only one who actually did, however not before checking to see if I could to queue up with them again and ignore the weird menu kick. When I tried starting a new lobby with friends the game told me that I was already in a server and that I should still restart my client. Unfortunately as I logged back in the game informed me that I have to wait 15 minutes for queue dodging...So I am essentially punished for league telling me what to do and me blindly following orders. Needless to say I am quite annoyed.
