when i want to play i have to update but when i start updating it will not work

For context, I've also been having a similar bug, I believe. The Client opened normally to begin with, then asked for a restart to add a new update( I believe the update over this weekend, not 8.6). The client then closed, opened back up as a smaller loading window, before reopening the main client about 5 minutes or so later. On one of my computers, I got fed up with the waiting and closed the smaller window, and now whenever I open league, it states that it must return to an older version of the client to patch, restarts, then fails to patch and gets stuck in an endless restarting loop. Meanwhile, the other computer appears to be working, but it is displaying the League client update login instead of the normal login screens. I suspect this is some sort of bug with the weekend patch, as patch 8.6 worked fine from what I can remember.
