After switching from PBE to EuNe couldnt login stuck on loading screen forever and it just says update taking longer than expected with options to restart or cancel, then tried going back to PBE same thing there, whats going on, friend also went on pbe and back and now has the same issues

IMPORTANT::::::: Reinstall works and getting in with the old client. Problem is the new client, reinstal with hextech it will be like 7 gigs download in total took me like 20 mins

Search for Riot Client folder, and just rename it to "Riot Client2" then launch the game. It will work
Happening to me as well, initially couldnt even start client ... now after like 10 tries the client will start but I am unable to login due to the "couldn't update" error that everyone else is seeing.... I'm even a software developer so i've checked everything on my PC and this is 100% server side ... let's see how long it takes riot to fix this

ok update for u guys, i went Reinstall, after 1 giga and something download i got into game with old client but now waiting for 5 giga download, so its client problem obviously
Could it be a Mac thing (I have a Mac and same problem). I've seen quite a few Mac only problems in the past few years...also my friend has a PC and he got in fine

gotta wait for riot to remove this client, after full download it just kicked me out and put me in new client again which doesnt work, bring back the old client Riot cant get into game ffs
Guys uninstall is temporary fix. Eventually it will update to new client, just fait riot for fix.
Same issue here. Was playing URF in pbe and just try to see if URF is up in the NA server and it stucked. So is URF up in the NA server?
Same problems in EUW. Switching between PBE launcher and normal launcher got me stuck.

I've restarted and shutdown my laptop. My other applications and internet is fine.
I was just playing on this client 2 hours ago, several games, several different game modes, no problem.
Now I can't even open it. Pls fix this.
on PBE and live servers there has been so many bugs and problems with ping, match making, and clients not working over the last two weeks. Its like every other day. Please for the love of god focus on making this stuff playable.
SAME both on LIVE and PBE. Was playing 6-7hours ago no problems.

dealing with the same thing now myself, thank you spaghetti code :) on a side note i deleted both the riot client and pbe that it was happening on and reinstalled both to no avail, seems its just a launcher connecting to server issue thats due to the launcher only and not which client version you run
This particular problem has now been solved. You should no longer have any problems connecting / launching the game. ^^'

Happened to me too. I couldn't open the launcher at first and even restarted my pc. Now i can open it but when I log in I get stuck on loading screen. I'm NA .
I just tried to sign in to PBE and the same thing is happening to me. Same problem with the Live game.
