Jihn bug with lotus flowers

My friend can't post on the boards for some reason, so he asked me to do it for him.

He was playing Jihn mid on summoner rift and whenever he would put his lotus flowers down, the enemy zyra mid would put down her seedlings on the trap. The Lotus flowers would then burst as if a champion or minion would walk on it. I don't know if its spaghetti code with zyra's seeds being considered a enemy unit.
