lol.launcher.exe Bad image

I get this everytime I try to open League. No matter what I do I can't get it to open. Whenever I try to, it also makes my entire computer stop responding, even the desktop. Here's the message I get: lol.launcher.exe - Bad Image C:\WINDOWS\WinSxS\x86_microsft.vc80.crt_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.9193_none_d09188224426efcd\MSVCR80.dll is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0xc0000006.

If I could get help on this I'd be extremely thankful. :) I've tried reinstalling it so far.

Make sure your Visual C + + is up to date.

File Explorer > C:\ProgramData (you may need to type this in manually. NOT "program files") > DELETE riot games folder > reinstall.

I need to leave for a while, but ill come back and check to see if any progress has been made. if you don't care to wait, open a ticket

I have gone as far as I know how, i am not tech support LOL but i did what i could. Ill try and do some research, in the mean time, make a support ticket

Yeah I've made one. Thanks a ton for all your help. :) I really don't want to but I fear a complete reset of my computer might be necessary if support can't help me.

Update: Lower your screen resolution (on your computer itself) > Open LoL > Revert your resolution

This didn't work either. I appreciate all your help, but I don't think you should waste your time anymore. Hopefully Riot Support can help me. It was very kind of you to help though. :)

Thanks. I'll check it out. Something new happened though, I got another message. This one says: "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."

May be you're trying to open LoL with an old icon or start-up location. try a different one. since you have reinstalled a few times I'm sure.

I am officially burnt out. That old forum thread is the best I can find, in things to assist you. The absolute only thing else i can suggest is to delete riot games folder as i said before, and shut down your computer. Not a restart, full shut down. then power on and try again with the install etc.

If THAT doesn't work, I'm no more useful to you than a blade of grass in this situation.

I wish you luck in your support ticket, and be sure to be as specific as possible while in communication with them. It is the most helpful in my experience.
