So uh... I thought spell vamp was an unique passive.
Is this a bug? I had WOTA, gunblade, revolver, spirit visage, vlad's e (4 stacks), spell vamp runes and perhaps masteries.
It was a pretty fun game lol

There are exceptions to the rule
Another example are sheen items.
They all stack, kinda.
If you get a trinity and an iceborn, you keep the 200% proc from trinity, and that is applied to the AoE from iceborn.
If you get a Lichbane and an Iceborn, you apply the lichbane passive over the AoE
Lichbane and Trinity do not stack, Lichbane will always override trinity.
So that guy you made fun of for getting a gauntlet and a trinity force? He was actually building correctly lol
So what... did you die at all late game? Unless you are ignited I can see that vlad sustaining forever on a teamfight, E evryone wait 3 sec, E again and recover all the hp lost in the 3 sec.
I do that with Morgana. She deals more damage and at a quicker pace so she heals like crazy.

Unnamed unique passives won't stack if you have multiple of the same item, but they will stack between different items.
For example:
+ 
= 32% Spell Vamp
+ = 20% Spell Vamp
It's kinda like how CDR is usually a unique stat on items, but you can stack CDR if you have it from different items.
