There is a bug with Malzahar's E, whenever it is casted on a minion the moment it dies, the spell goes on CD but the visual "bubble" does not get applied/transferred to any valid target.

E becomes able to bounce when it starts damaging its target.

Damages every .5 seconds

|--------|- Visual -|--------| Damage

This quirk is what allows Malzahar to bounce E even as it is fading.

Basic rule of thumb: If you can't make it with an auto attack, you won't make it with E.

I get that, my point is, the moment you cast the spell if it does not get to apply any damage over the selected objective and it also does not bounce to a near enemy unit why it goes on CD?
