Lost LP Points for someone else dodging the queue in ranked

Ok so we were in champion selection & I was last to select.... I already had a champion selection & it was like 5 sec remaining & we got queued up again saying a player failed to select the champion & you are returned to queue...

I was like ok... & than I go to my league table & find that I lost points on it...

WHY???????
