So I was in champion select for a normal game when my game suddenly closed, without an error message or anything. So naturally I tried to log back in, hoping that my series might not have been impacted by this. Only problem is that I can't log in to check because every time I put in my password and hit enter the client crashes and gives me a bug splat report. This has happened 6 times now. I have repaired my client twice but still no effect. If anyone has suggestions to help, that would be great.

Upvoting also, I just made a discussion about this but I see this now too. I'm having the same issue for when I enter my password and enter, I get a bug splat (can't even get into the game, just when I'm trying to login). This wasn't happening earlier today on the patch.

Currently experiencing this, started an aram and I bugsplat when entering loading screen everytime I click reconnect

this is actually a big problem it forced a remake and took my lp for nothing in a ranked game and ive also experienced this in aram a fatal error shows up and it locks u in game than u have to restart your computer because the game is frozen and when u try to get back in it happens again or the games already over

I am having this problem as well. I have filed several bug reports as a result. Some of the things I have done to try and get around this:

Restarted the computer.
Run client repairs
Updated and repaired video card drivers.
Ran a compatibility test.
Turned anti-virus suites off since that was causing an issue with the previous patch.

Nothing has worked and I am deeply frustrated about this. I am concerned about how it seems the quality of QA has been drastically reduced as of late.

Same problem from Germany ... thought it was maybe some kind of issue with TFT because right before the loading screen was done the % didnt go any further. So i closed it and wanted to reconnect because the game still goes on in most times and thats the time i started getting bugsplats ... i even reinstalled the game, was searching for corrupted files and so on ... must be from the server side!

Happened to me, only thing that fixed it was restarting my computer. Did you try restarting your computer?

RIOT FIX THIS. This happened to me 3 times already even after repairing the game 4 times. Caused a remake, a loss, and a possible suspension because I had to restart my comp mid ranked game. This sucks riot, fix it. 9.14 is obviously the reason.

Had the same problem. Fast FIX: Uninstall last few Windows 10 updates you made, restart and enjoy. (Can't tell which of them was responsible, I just uninstalled all it installed in the last 2 days.) EDIT: It is "Update for Microsoft WIndows (KB4515384)" which caused the problem.

I have just had the same thing happen to me, except bug splat keeps bugging out on me as well. I know part of this is just a overflow of logins happening and the new update and other problems trying to be fixed, but this sucks! Especially since it now has happened to me twice now!

I played a game of Elise in ARAM and as soon as the loading screen was halfway there, the game failed to load for me. I logged out and back in again to see if it puts me in the game and it worked. After losing the game, I went for another ARAM game and got Brand and now I got the dreaded critical error message so i was unable to play the game and lost it for the team. Embarrassing. Upvoting this as well.

About every second game my loading screen to go into a game freezes or gives me a system error. Soft locks my computer and have to Ctrl alt delete to get out.
is this the same issue or no? (edit) It was in a normal game.

There are like 2 to 3 disconnected people in every match getting bugsplats on loading screen, I got 4 so far, and one of them I wasn't able to reconnect and lost the match, probably got reported too lol.

I'm having the same issue. I previously patched the game earlier, and came back to sign in later today. Every time i try to enter in my game password, it instantly bug splats me when i'm just trying to sign in. I downloaded the hextech repair tool and have repaired my client already, i hope that repatching the client through the tool will fix it; if not, ill be trying to send the logs in to game support.

I get bugsplat in champion select and when i send the report client opens itself and puts me back into the champion select, but most of the times i don't get back in time to lock in my champion

Mine says "A critical error has occurred and the process must be terminated", as soon as champ select ends and won't let me reconnect. As soon as I hit reconnect, I get the message again. I lost two ranked games because of this bug, and I'm probably not getting the LP back. Dog shit company, fuck you riot.

My client also crashed but, going into a game. I restarted it and logged in, then got to the return button and when i pressed it, the game asked for a memory dump, then bug splat. Now i cant even select games on my menu for some reason.

This happened to me once, but now it's happening in almost every game i play since the new update to other players.. How am i even supposed to farm tokens, in the past 10 games ive had like 7 remakes. This is BS. I paid 15$ so i could get the arcade pass and get a bunch of orbs.. now im gonna miss probably multiple days amounts of tokens because of constant remakes

Same here, yesterday an issue with "connecting to chat" today i cant even log in cause i get bugsplat. Riot get your shit right for once, you already ruining the game now you want to just fill it with bugs? Edit: i can login through Mac but i cant through my windows PC, seems a windows issue...

Currently got this today as well, first crashed inviting a friend to a party. Since then unable to login without bugsplat. Tried everything, new install, install diff hard drive, admin run, discord overlay off, discord off, everything closed but league, restart with nothing starting but league, restart with gpu and windows updates, discord uninstalled, geforce off, league hextech repair, fresh harddrive install. Nada.

After doing everything recommended by riot, these forums and just messing around I’m gonna say my particular bugsplat( once you enter a game after character select the game will not load) is caused by my windows 7 OS. If I run the game in troubleshoot compatibility mode which runs it using a stored windows XP program. Game works perfect with no faults.

Yep this is still an issue for me and this was posted 2 months ago. Riot you really need to fix your dogshit client I get a bugsplat every single time I try to log in , sometimes I manage to get into the homescreen of the game after logging in but then I just get a bugsplat after trying to find a game. I have tried EVERYTHING to try sort out the problem for example; reinstalling the game, repairing the client, messaging support, and even trying the random tips that other people suggested on the forums and I have tried these all multiple times. Some days the client is fine which makes it even more annoying when it just decided to not work randomly for an entire day

doesn't happen to me all the time but every so often i get bugsplats during loading screen which repeat when reconnecting and don't allow me to join the game. been happening semi-frequently over the last half year or so.

losing LP because riot is incompetent is fun.
