thresh wont proc relic's shield

Sorry, but Thresh is classified as having Ranged basic attacks, and only Melee basic attacks will proc Relic Shield's execute damage. You must last hit normally to receive the gold/heal.

Instead, use your (E) Flay's bonus damage to more easily last hit.

Because Relic shield proc is meant for melee supports. Thresh isn't a melee champion. That's why coin is recommended for thresh.

It's polite to check in case your bug has been reported already. As you can see, this "bug" has been reported excessively.

It's confusing due to the aa animation, I know. Maybe they could make a change for clarity's sake, I guess. Add a tooltip reminding you that Thresh is ranged or whatever.

Technically all champions can use relic shield, but only melee ones can execute.

Or maybe you should just Use Coin like it recommends?

It's true.. as an AD main, I've missed quite a bit of CS because a Thresh is trying to execute a minion but can't It gets super frustrating. I'm at the point if I get a Thresh support I ask them if they go Relic or Coin, if they say Relic I than expect to have less cs than normal. RIP to the cannon minions that most Thresh's miss.
