Attack to move bug

Every time I try to initiate the attack to move on any adc with the cursor enabled. You know when it states it'll attack whatever is near your cursor? Well, whenever I test it out, and have used it in ranked, my champion will constantly try to walk to whatever is closest to it rather than go to the spot I had the cursor at. Long story short, this is not making kiting unbearable. I don't know what's going on with some of these patches. This been happening for at least four patches for me, and I'm not the only who's noticing this dilemma. I tried with the box unchecked and it seems like checking it does nothing, like it's the old school attack to move function. Riot please fix this.
