Matches not starting

My last two attempts to play a game at the end of the champion select countdown it wouldn't start the match. the First time somebody tried to trade in aram at last second and made the league screen completely black and wouldn't go away till I closed it. The second time it just stayed on the champion select screen. Both times I closed league and reopened it hoping for the option to reconnect like it usually gives me but there wasn't, so not sure if the matches actually are happening or not and worried people will report me for not being able to get into game :/

EDIT:

Just to clarify - I was in CHAMPION SELECT, no problems with queue. I'm seeing a lot of people posting about being stuck in queue in the comments though :(

Hey everyone,

Apologies for the lack of information. We've identified the fix to the matchmaking issues. We're currently working to get the service back online as soon as possible. We're in the process of bringing the game servers back online following the restart. Once we complete QA, we'll open back up. We're hoping to be back up within 90 minutes (hopefully much quicker).

We also believe we have resolved the issues some players were having with chat and login, as well.

Similar thing happening to me.

Been trying to queue up for Team Builder. Get to lobby, ready up, counter starts... "Error starting your match." Queue drops, return to client. sadness ensues.

Big surprise. The NA servers have been broken for years now, and this game is unplayable constantly. Maybe Riot should finally step into 1998 and get some advanced server tech, instead of dumping all of their resources into competitive play and expanding in third world countries. Fix the problems in your own backyard already.

It wont even allow me too que. Says PvP and Co-Op are unavailable due too me not being level 30. Only... i am level 30. Anyone else have this problem?

same thing happened to me, i exited and restarted then queued again but I was on a 5 min timer and it just keeps going.

Same here. I was actually playing a ranked before this (we lost) and it didn't take my LP away and I cant see it in my history... so good for me i guess :)

happened to me too! i tried all modes just to see if any of them would work and this happened when i tried to start a teambuilder match. (i was using my other acc)

league servers seem to be bugging out, trying to q for another aram but the timer has been going on for about 5min. now and counting. My last aram match isn't showing up in my history either

I kind of expected problems with this major patch/pre season rollout. Hopefully they can get us up and running again soon. I've only been in a game queue for 38 minutes :-P

Just realized that riots server status still says the game is up, but they are aware of matchmaking problems and are trying trying to fix it. I would say that they might want to say offline considering you cannot do anything, and lots of people cannot log in anymore. It would be nice to get an official announcement from riot as to what actually is happening and why everything is broken. People are saying its the new leaverbuster but riot clearing this all up would be nice.

EDIT: I am also wondering why if leaver buster was what caused it, that PBE worked just fine with the new leaverbuster?

This is unacceptable. I came home from work to dominate like I usually do with vlad, malphite and at pretty much every role. However I've had to play starcraft in the meantime and frankly I'm getting a little sleepy. I do not want to take a nap but you may have forced my hand. Be known that I may write to the authorities in my state. I hope that you understand the gravity of this situation and the emotional physical arm that has been dealt.
