Mac Issues
HUGE UPDATE Alright so after attempting a sixth time to reinstall, I finally succeeded. You guys honestly don't know how happy I am right now. Back to some LoL play and some PBE. See you on the rift! ;)
So I've been having problems off and on with my Mac League of Legends client. I would always just Google the issue and something on the boards or another website would pop up, and bam, they had the solution. But recently, I encountered an issue I have never had before. I tried to open the client, and an error message popped up. I remember it had something to do with the LoL Kernel not working anymore. I clicked "Ok" and tried reopening the client. What happened was that the application would pop up in my dock and bounce once and then disappear. I continued trying to open it, but it still decided to be difficult. So I did what I normally do when I have an issue: I headed to Google. Basically all the results told me that I had to reinstall the game. I was a little sad (we all know installing the game takes awhile), but I thought, as long as League would be fixed, it was worth the time. I deleted and reinstalled the client, but on Step 2/2, it got stuck at 87%. It would go down to 0 kbps and never go back up. Again I Googled, again I just had to try reinstalling. And again it got stuck at 87%. I did this once more and it still didn't budge past 87%. I did the first two attempts right after each other, but the third one I waited until 5.2 came out, thinking it may have been a bug of some sort in 5.1. No such luck. Been stuck sharing a computer, and I could handle it for awhile, but I'm ready to have League back on my own computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all!
About My Mac: All my Mac software is up to date, currently running OS X Yosemite 10.10.2
UPDATE: 4th attempt was also unsuccessful. Tried repairing, has been scanning files for about 12 hours.
Checked my Mac again after letting it repair for about 20 hours or so. Stuck at 33%.
