Haunted Zyra can't use mastery emote when dead

I have level 7 mastery on Zyra and like to sometimes spam it, but I am unable to show off my skill when I'm dead! It works fine on the normal skin, but I haven't been able to try it on Wildfire/SKT skins.

Edit: Sorry forgot to tag as [GAMEPLAY]-- don't think I can edit the title.
