[CRASH] game does not see a created game and cannot join

My friend is having issues in which he joins my party and seems to be good but then he does not see the "accept" or "decline" options and the game does not start. This happened enough times so that he was punished for not joining and has to suffer the 5 minutes penalty. This did not use to happen to him; he even reinstalled the game and that did not help. Any suggestions as to why this is happening? At times he will start and then get kicked out, needing to re-log in, which at least allows him to play. Thanks for the help!
