League of Legends lagging

so lately League of legends has been lagging like crazy for me even though i have a pretty good connection and when i went on various sites to check my internet connection it said i have over 50 mb download/upload, and yet i still have like 1000 or 2000 ping, is this a problem wtih the servers or am i doing somethin wrong ?

What is the the ping it tells you in the speedtest?
