In fairness its hard to spectate games that don't exist, people would need to be playing ranked at high mmr for it to show a game.

Especially with the recent Spectator bugs, Riot probably forgot to include the new ranked queue as potential Featured Spectate matches. They'll likely get around to fixing that when they have time. For now, just let ARAM have its little bit of promotion. After all, it's rare enough that alternate maps get any attention, much less opportunities to show (relatively) high-MMR play.
