Champion select client freezing

The champion select client is freezing when a summoner is banning. Their ban timer runs down to zero and the client freezes. It stays like that for a good couple minutes or so and then i get kicked back into a lobby with a 30 minute wait timer. This happened to me 3 times in a row last night. It is a huge inconvenience to have to wait 30 minutes to play a game (not including the queue time) and then it all happens again.
