Champion Select Bug

In my last ranked game I was in champion select and was last pick. I waited the entire thing out and it had looked as if no one said a single thing during the entire pick/ban phase. I saw what I thought to be an open top lane, so I picked my top laner and carried on with the game.

Actually, top had been picked and I had no idea because the guy picked volibear, and the spots open were support and top.

Well, when I entered the game, they were all bming me pretty horribly. I tried to explain myself, but that didn't work because they continued to call me stupid and said that I should go to hell. I tried to not say mean things back to them, and I pretty much succeeded in not being toxic. I felt bad because I didn't know the volibear pick was for top lane and not support, but since the Champ Select bug was there, I had no idea. Well, we lost because the volibear chose to go straight to mid instead of going support, and the akali mid volunteered to go support, and akali+draven both fed 10 kills to botlane before 20 minutes unfortunately. I won my lane and I still tried my best, but everyone was constantly bming me and making the game practically unwinnable.

They all reported me after the game and now I'm banned because of it. I got an automated email after the game and they said they had taken logs from all my recent games in which I had been toxic, and the entire game log from the game before was just c/p'ed in the email. So please riot, fix this champ select bug, or at least give some sort of attention to it. Thanks.
