[CLIENT] Client freezing during champ select

Before a while ago I was able to play the game with little to no problems but since i've recently moved and here where I live now is no internet, I've been forced to use my MOBILE HOTSPOT as a solution.With the 4G HOTSPOT, I am able to play at a constant ping of 42-44.Now, there's a catch -

The bug ->

There's a bug which is occuring ONLY in champion select - the CLIENT FREEZES (it always freezes at 0 seconds, doesn't matter who's turn to pick is / it can even freeze during the ban phase) for an unknown amount of time - sometimes I am within the first's to pick so im able to pick my champ before it freezes, other times not and I get a dodge penalty and other times it unfreezes and catches up with everything right in the moment when it's my turn to pick - and lastly, there are some rare times when it doesn't freeze at all.The chat, weird enough, does not freeze all the time - sometimes im able to chat while it's freezed.Also, most of the times i have to quit the client because it freezes until the moment when in the chat writes the names of the summoners who just left so the client does not close and the game does not initiate so I have to restart my laptop in order to be able to connect to the game.I think the problem is occuring because of the mobile hotspot but yet it may be something else, im not entirely sure but I've read on other threads that others too have this bug, and some also mention the use of mobile hotspots.

I am playing on a macbook pro retina mid 2012, with the macOS Sierra installed on it and using a mobile hotspot as for the internet provider.The problem have not occured in the past when i was playing on my home wifi or other places, just since I've started to use my mobile hotspot.I've already initiated full repair but that didn't do it.I've also changed my dns to google's one and still not fixed.

Sorry for my english, I hope this will get fixed or someone finds a workaround..

I have been experiencing this exact same problem recently too. Since updating to High Sierra I think. Coincidentally, on almost exactly the same machine - 2012 Retina MacBook Pro - but running on a regular internet connection.

My champ select screen will freeze but I can hear the picks and bans going on in the background. I can even type into chat and hear it going through, but again, not see the screen change.

I've tried setting the launcher to low graphics mode but it will still occasionally happen. Not sure how to reproduce it but it's incredibly annoying!

wish I could upvote more, such an annoying bug (btw I'm not using a mobile hotspot but using the 2012 retina)... but I feel riot actions are very clearly stating they don't care about the mac community, we still use the beta, borderless windowed game mode has been broken since patch 7.9, among other bugs... so disappointing, hope they at least fix this freezing issue (seems like an openGL bug or other graphical draw issue)

This has been an on and off going problem since HighSierra for me to. I wrote to support and they suggested I switched off the ipv6 option in the network settings. That did not work, I eventually quit league because of that problem. When I came back recently, it seemed to work properly during the summer, and no It's screwed again. I'm loosing lp worthlessly and can't climb or play for that matter since and getting 30 min dodge time-outs daily.

I guess it's just bad optimization, but I've read on the forums that since high Sierra Mac OS has been unable to implement proper bug fixes, since even if you manually. switch it off through network settings or terminal, processes still use ipv6 for some reason and it's been proven through analyses on GitHub I think. Anyways, whatever it is I'm going to have to drop league again if this persists and I won't be able to find a proper solution.
