Gameplay Issue with Fizz

I have been playing fizz lately and noticed that the "E" ability Trickster is not working properly. For instance, lets say I engage Fiddlesticks, and he uses the "W" ability with lifesteal and has a chain connected to the target. Trickster should automatically cancel out the ability upon use because Fizz should become untargetable as the description says, but fiddlesticks lifesteal chain stays on me(fizz) even though I have used the trickster ability.

I saw this happen again when I went up against katarina. I went in on katarina and of course she used her ultimate ability "R" and swords started flying. So then I trickster'd "E" so that I could avoid and dodge a large majority of the swords flying, but again the swords were still hitting me in the middle of my Trickster ability when im supposed to be untargetable.

All of this happened in Hexakill game mode, I have not played fizz in summoners rift and tested this out yet, but quite honestly I do not want to do ranked with a glitched fizz. item 3070 Fizz item 3070

That is not a bug. Tethers are uniquely channeled spells and are able to continue their function even during untargetability.

The same would happen if Fizz, Vlad, or any champion with untargetability in their kit were to be hit with Karma's W, Morgana's Ult, LeBlanc's chain, etc. So long as the tether is applied before Fizz casts Playful/Trickster, the spell will continue until the spell is completed or Fizz moves out of range. I think you were most likely mistaken when up against Katarina, as her ultimate requires Fizz be targetable to hit him. This is the only case where it would actually be a bug if she was hitting you.

To reiterate: You are good to play Fizz is any game mode, this is functioning as intended!

The Fizz/Fiddle interaction is intended as far as I know. Tethers are not broken unless you leave the radius; no Fizz/Elise escapes. That's how it's always been. Katarina, on the other hand, I don't think counts as a tether, and as such shouldn't interact as you say it did. Could be a glitch caused recently... Trickster has had its fair share of glitches after patching.
