So, When opening league riot client will open instead saying a "critical update is required; there are critical updates required. restart to apply" when I click "apply update" the application will close for a few seconds then open up with the same thing over and over no matter what I do it won't change (I've tried restarting my computer, deleting all of the league files, deleting league and reinstalling.)

I found the solution for Windows 10! If you are on Windows, open the league tab with the message, then take Task manager and shut down every instance of league you can, then run the league client with Administrator privileges, that is what fixed it for me!
